The New Refi Loan Kicked In

I just checked ye olde mortgage account online, to make certain that the new refinance mortgage loan that the Hubby and I closed on last week had kicked in yet.

Simply put: I never thought I’d be as awed as I was by “0.00” and “PD IN FULL”.  It’s a beautiful — albeit temporary — thing.

The new and improved (that is, lower amount and lower interest rate) mortgage payments don’t start until April.  So I’m enjoying this month-long “mortgage payment free” holiday… to pay Estimated 2010 Federal Income Tax.

(Darn you, IRS!  But not enough to plow a plane in you, so… happy rainbows and smiley faces!)

Okay, off to bed.

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.
