Life Insurance, Home Improvements, and Playground Equipment

This summer is the summer of getting things done.

1) With Daniel nearing age two, I’ve finally bought private whole life insurance and maxed out the amount for the term life insurance benefits from my j0b.

2) After two (or is it three?) replaced windshields from the Hubby’s car, we finally have a two-car driveway so that the Hubby doesn’t have to park on the street.

3) After nearly two years of leaky faucets and dead grass, those problems have been taken care of, thanks to a plumber sent by our home warranty policy carrier and a local sprinkler guy that I plucked out of the Yellow Pages.

4) Next: the garage conversion to the Hubby’s music studio!  And, thanks to my brother and mom who recommended a person that they know, the price is actually *reasonable*.

If we have any additional funding leftover, maybe we can finally get the playground equipment that Technogypsy gave us put together.  🙂

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

I don’t know if that’s a sick attempt at humor, but it rings hollow and smells of crap. I thought you had some semblance of decency?

That poor man’s been dying by inches helping you raise another man’s son and you’re kicking him out to the garage?!
