“He can really shred that uke”

… the Hubby declared, as he watched Jake Shimabukuro on YouTube.

and this one too:

Amazing what a virtuoso can do with an ukulele (which made my eyes pop out when I found out that it *was* an ukelele when I caught the tail end of NPR’s The World as I was driving home from work today).

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

    What an amazing player!

Have you seen the YouTube orchestra? Pretty interesting idea… getting to play a Tan Dun piece at Carnegie Hall. There’s even a part for “Hub Cap” drummer LOL. But I wonder if they pay your airfare?

Yeah. Check out how he transforms “While my Guitar gently Weeps.” I think it is available on Utube as well.
