Looking Like a Little Boy

Post-haircut, I am amazed just how less like a baby and more like a little boy Daniel looks these days.

Whats that over there?

What's that over there?

A Gentle Smile

A Gentle Smile

I am stunned by how fast time is going by; as Daniel gets older, both hope and fear grow in me — hope for his happiness, fear for his safety.  One is never without the other.  From what more experienced mothers tell me (including my own students), those feelings never — ever — go away.

Now… if only he’d drink his milk out of his sippy cup!  😉

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.
