On Veteran’s Day

For Pa, my brother, and all servicemen and servicewomen…

We thank you.

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

  1. James says:

For your brother, my nephew and his wife, and the many others that I know that have served and will serve, I salute you and them! We that stay home are often by-standers in the wars that are fought with words, but no one knows pain or hope until it is their own that are on the line of service.

I want to say a reminder today of a veteran of WWII that we knew well, Eugene Curtsinger.

Recently passed, he was a true man of conviction, and a real war hero. He did not speak of that to very many people, but when he did, the emotions were raw and the feelings were genuine.

God bless them all. God bless this country that can call such fine and noble beings that fight for all of us!
