Just a Spectator Now

Early voting began this week in my state.  Figuring that the voting lines come November 4 would be crazy, I got in my vote this week, on my way home from work.  The line wasn’t bad — about 20-25 minutes’ wait —  and most of that time I was in a light-hearted chat with a retired U.S. Treasury man.

So, my vote’s been cast, which means stories like this and this I can enjoy as the social spectacles that they are and, come November 4, I can kick back and watch the election unfold.

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

CD: Definitely, there’s an advantage to not being in a “teeming metropolis”. 🙂

Good for you! Voting out here is never too busy, more land area than people.
