Car Loaded Up

Daniel’s having his first road trip (his uncle in Kansas is getting married this weekend).  And — egads — while the Hubby and I have our two tote bags of stuff, Daniel’s footprint is all over the inside of my car.

Granted, I have a small car, but — wow!

And I can hardly wait when Daniel moves from the crib to a Big Bed, he’s potty-trained, and he eats grown-up food.  That’ll make road-tripping a whole lot lighter!

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

I know the feeling well. I am really enjoying everybody being old enough to communicate, play independently for looooong stretches, and being out of cribs.

He’ll get there! And then you’ll wonder where the time has gone 😉
