Then and Now

I know that, at nearly ten months old, Daniel is now much bigger than he was when he was born.  But his growth seems so gradual, since I see him every day, that I sometimes don’t realize how much he’s grown.  However, recently I rediscovered photos that the Hubby took when Daniel was only a few days old.  I’d forgotten he had taken them until he showed them to me this summer, when I was looking for pictures of Daniel smiling and he said, “What about the one where he’s winking?” and I didn’t know what he was talking about.

My three favorite photos from back then:

Daniel winking

Daniel winking

Daniel with the Hubbys hand

Daniel with the Hubby's hand

Daniel with JG

Daniel with JG

My current favorite picture of him now:

Daniel on ottoman

He’s also standing — albeit briefly — more and more on his own now, although not walking… yet!   I’ll try to get pictures of that when I can.

He’s growing so fast, that sometimes I feel like I can hardly keep up.  🙂

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

Hope we get to see you guys soon. I’ve been totally swamped with work (working the last 3 weekends straight through) and we’re traveling through the beginning of August. Argh!!!

    Take care!!
