Homeschooling Endangered?

Homeschooling by unaccredited parents declared illegal in California.

As a professor to a few dual-credit students who happen to be homeschoolers, and a daughter-in-law of a woman who has been homeschooling her youngest son for years, I am curious to see how far this will go, in the appeal process. Of course, it’s a ridiculous ruling, as having a teaching certificate doesn’t necessarily mean one can teach well.

Definitely the ruling needs to be overturned, or that legal precedent for *other* states that have lenient home school rules may just jeopardize those rules.

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.
