Hack, Cough

So I went to the doctor’s office.  No pneumonia, no strep, no ear infection.  Good so far.  I was given a chest X-ray, got put on a nebulizer, given a steroidal shot, and given four separate prescriptions of medication: pills for the cough, pills for the sneezing/watery eyes/congestion, antibiotics, and a steriodal inhaler.  I’ve filled them on that same day as the appointment and have been taking them religiously.

Bottom-line: Seems to make very little difference.  I am still hacking and coughing so hard that my eyes water and I see stars.  I am still producing more mucus — in my head that ends up in my throat and chest — than I care to think.  My only hope is that I’m not contagious anymore.

Well, one more week of classes and then Spring Break.  Maybe over the Break I can finally catch up on my grading and get some much-needed rest.  ::fingers crossed::

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

Yeah, it sucks. Majorly. Everyone is down with this–I just heard that in OK they declared it an epidemic.
Will keep fingers crossed for you!

It has been slow. Well, I will continue with the meds, especially the antibiotics. We’ll see. ::fingers crossed::

It’s SLOW progress. I did not see any improvement until the end of my first week after I got the meds. Be patient.
