One Day at a Time

Turned in the last of my grades today.  ::yay::

And then discovered that my Spring 2008 textbook order is wrong.  ::sigh::  And it would be nice for my students (former and future) to give me a little bit of space to recover before I email make answers to all of their “how am I doing in class?” and “what’s your class like?” questions.

And Christmas is next Tuesday — wow, when did *that* happen?  I’m just now caught up with having returned from maternity leave (November 12), and Christmas is next week?

You know that late ’70s, early ‘8Os sitcom, One Day at a Time?  The theme song keeps playing in my head lately.

This is it. This is it.
This is life, the one you get
So go and have a ball.

This is it. This is it
Straight ahead and rest assured
You can’t be sure at all.

So while you’re here enjoy the view
Keep on doing what you do
So hold on tight we’ll muddle through
One day at a time, One day at a time.

So up on your feet. Up on your feet
Somewhere there’s music playing.
Don’t you worry none
We’ll just take it like it comes.

One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
