Aardman’s Latest Movie

The Hubby and I have a small collection of Aardman stuff: Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, and A Close Shave; and Creature Comforts’ Merry Christmas Everybody.  (If we were major Aardman fans, we’d also get Chicken Run and W&G’s The Curse of the Were-Rabbit).  We’re not huge Aardman fanatics, however.

But after watching Flushed Away with Janus Gate last week (on DVD), we’d like our own copy of the movie… because of the SLUGS.

Only Aardman would be able to make slugs… well, cute.

(And kid-friendly fare is on the priority list when it comes to stocking the video library these days.  Wheee!)

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

Yup, that ranks right up there with “Pull My Feeler” from Joe’s Apartment.

And, correcting my own type, yes, I know it’s Roddy, not Robbie. Realized it right as I hit “send”.

    My favorite:
Slug: [singing] What’s that urge from deep inside? / The need to hurl won’t be denied / That isn’t rice, that’s maggots you’re eating.
    Maggots: Larva, larva, larva…

Poor poor Robbie, flushed down his own pottie…

Yeah, the slugs were groovy, but all I want are the Union Jack hip-huggers.

    They’re shocky.
