The Crib

After a handful of trips to Home Depot (we underestimated how many 1/4″x3/8″ machine screws needed), the Hubby and I assembled the crib.

Okay, the Hubby mostly did the assembly, as I popped back and forth from Home Depot.  🙂

So, here ’tis:

And here’s the Hubby, post-crib assembly:

The futon’s on one side of the room, while the crib (and the changing table, when we get it) is on the other side.

Danke schön, Celogomamma and Convivialdingo, for giving us your crib!  I’m certain Daniel will have many happy dreams in his little bed, just as your five little ones who’ve preceded him.

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.

No worries about the screws — I like going to Home Depot. 🙂 As for the futon: the original reason was because there was no other room to relocate the thing. 🙂 But, yea verily, it will come in handy!

It looks so handsome with that pesto green behind it!! Wow!

I am sorry about the screws and springs. Gosh… even after 5 kids, I can’t manage to hide treasure troves well enough to prevent raids.

What a great idea to have the futon in the nursery. That’s really going to come in handy!!

Hey – it looks great! Your so welcome – wish I could have been there but I’m stuck in Philly, land of the baby boomers.

Only two more days and I go home!

    Blessing to you!
