And I found out that Tadpole’s a boy. 🙂
My deep-scan ultrasound was yesterday at 8am. All systems are a-ok. It was COOL AS HELL to see the ultrasound scan right into the little guy’s body, so you ccould see his skeletal structure and internal organs. Perfectly formed spine and little skull. Strong, four-chambered heart beat, going 144 BPM. He was wriggling around, making little chewing/sucking motions.
He’s come a long way from looking like a tadpole to looking little a *tiny* baby boy.
Last month, I had a quad-screen done on my bloodwork, checking what probability of birth defects Tadpole had. After all, I’m 35 years old. But the results all came back “low probability.” And after yesterday’s ultrasound scan, the prenatal specialist decided against doing an amniocentesis. Goody! The idea of inserting a LONG needle into my womb through my navel never sounded, um… appealing.
Anyhoo — now, the Hubby and I have to come up with names. And — NO — Ragnor the Destroyer will not do, thank you very much, Mr. Lemur. 🙂
YAY!! Have fun working through the names 🙂
Wait til I tell B!! 😉
Guess Q*Bert’s out based on your last post!
Good luck! Will Say Many Prayers to Many Gods for you and your husband.
How about Trogdor then?
