Weird Food Cravings

Hi. It’s lunchtime, and I’m peckish, and what I’m peckish for is mashed avocado with sugar and milk. {Wait for mild retching from my readers.} It’s an Asian thing, to see avocados as a dessert fruit, and anyone who sees avocados only as the primary ingredient to gaucamole usually makes that mild retching sound when I mention mashed avocado with sugar and milk. It’s a Filipino comfort food, easy to make, and requires no cooking. I made it lots when I was a little kid… right up there with condensed milk on white bread, eaten with hot chocolate. Mmmm…

About lizardqueen

If single-mothering were a paid job, I'd be rich. However, it doesn't, so I write (which doesn't pay the bills) and teach (which does). I'm overly-educated in the liberal arts, but that doesn't hinder my ability to be pragmatic and realistic. YAY.
