As requested from a commenter — the lyrics to Elmo’s Ducks:
Elmo had four ducks (quack quack quack quack)
four birds of a feather (quack quack quack quack)
to waddle with (quack quack quack quack)
and quack together. (quack quack quack quack)
But then one day… one swam away
Oh gosh oh gee… Elmo just had three.
Elmo had three ducks (quack quack quack)
three birds of a feather (quack quack quack)
to waddle with (quack quack quack)
and quack together (quack quack quack)
But then one day… one went achoo!
And off he flew… so Elmo just had two.
Elmo had two ducks (quack quack)
two birds of a feather (quack quack)
to waddle with (quack quack)
and quack together. (quack quack)
But then one day… one had to run
to get some sun… then Elmo just had one.
Elmo had one duck (quack)
one bird of a feather (quack)
to waddle with (quack)
and quack together. (quack)
But then one day… it spun and spun
and got so dizzy… Elmo now had none.
Elmo had no ducks… not even a feather
to waddle with… and quack together.
But then one day… Elmo heard a QUACK!
Oh gosh oh gee… Elmo’s ducks came back!

I am still surprised that, so far, I seem to be the only person on the Web who’s posted the lyrics to Elmo’s Ducks!
Since your page comes up first, no other copy is needed.
I can’t believe how catchy Elmo’s Song and Elmo’s Ducks are…I mean….ARRRG!
@BP: Yeah — it’s almost as maddeningly catchy as the Backyardigans intro song, as well as anything on Dora the Explorer.
ARRRGH — having a 2.5 year old has contaminated the Radio Station in My Head!
I thought it said: “two wore a wig”, instead of “to waddle with”
Thank you…its been in my brain all day…i love so many songs from this dvd

No Joke! This song is so catchy that my family and I on our trip to NYC last week had no other choice but to sing it over and over! I would finally get it out of my head and then my father in law would start up again! Mind you that before looking it up we were singing the same lyric over and over again! Thanks so much! My 8 month old gets so excited when he hears it!
Thank you. My 15 months boy love it. He only can say “quack”, so I must sing.

Another almost 8 month old loving it in Holland!
I wonder what DVD Louise Skelton is referring to?
Hi lizard queen..i was really looking for this elmo duck lyrics coz i could not figure out the “to waddle with” part. Anyway, I read from your profile that you are a Filipino and a teacher too. I am a Filipino teaching in Baltimore. I came in 2006. Anyway, I just want to say that I like your site and I hope I will have the time to read what you have here. Thanks.
Thanks for this; very useful (and how I found your blog too).
I have tried to find this song on DVD. Anyone know if it is on DVD? I son is 17 months and eveything you go to the comp he says “quack’. He loves it!!!!!
“Elmo’s Ducks” is from Season 39, Episode 251 of _Sesame Street_. You can get a video of it on the 2010 DVD titled “The Best of Elmo 2″ — which has other songs and Sesame Street video clips of Elmo from the last 10-15 years.
I found it easily on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Sesame-Street-Best-Elmo-2/dp/B003AQTJKS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294462738&sr=8-1

Now all I need is the guitar chords. Thanks for the lyrics. Couldn’t get the “spun and spun” bit.
My 2 y/o son and I love this song very much and sings it every day.
Does anyone have a guitar chords for this?
After some fruitless Googling, I see there are no guitar tabs nor chords available online for “Elmo’s Ducks.” HOWEVER:
You can ask one of the co-songwriters, Mark Radice, if he’s willing to share them with you. Just write a comment to him on his MySpace page:

Here’s a version of “Elmo’s Ducks” — with Mark Radice singing and playing the guitar:

Side Note: Yes — he co-wrote it (along with Luis Santiero):

My 20-month-old son and I love this song! I play it for him all the time. It is just exceptionally cute!!
Thanks a lot for this lyrics, Thanks, Thanks!!!
Do you have others Elmos’s lyrics ?
Sorry, nope — my son is 4 1/2 years old and has pretty much outgrown Elmo (he’s into Star Wars and Spider Man these days). So no other Elmo lyrics. However, here’s a good site for lyrics to Sesame Street songs that have Elmo singing in them: http://members.tripod.com/Tiny_Dancer/sselmo.html
